Rocca Calascio’s Winter Treat

by Sam Dunham

Rocca must be ’s most famous & photographed landmark that no matter what time of year still allows one the space to reflect as you take in its incredible 360 panorama.

Its crenelated turrets are particularly good to ramble around in Winter, when the snow & soft low light warms its grey stone bones and Santa Maria della Pietà appears to melt into the Corno Grande in the distance.

Santa Maria della Pietà
